 This vintage school teachers desk is solid wood and made by Southern Desk company. A fun fact about this desk is that it came from Auburn University in Montgomery.

One Shade of Grey

This vintage dresser has a lot of character. The curved lines and scalloped top add so much interest to this piece.  

 

While this dresser and headboard are not a set, the two of these would be perfect together. Both were painted the same shade of grey and have a flair that would be perfect in a little girls room. 

Mix it up

I love a good mix. Just like popcorn is better with M&M's, the booth is always better with an eclectic mix. This solid wood antique desk is new to the booth and was made by Landstrom Furniture Company in Rockford, Illinois. Landstrom Furniture Company has been around since 1879 and is quite reputable. This desk measures approximately 57x27x30 inches.

Father's Day

For those of you looking for a unique gift for Father's Day, come check out Urban Vintage Revival. Here are some of my suggestions to help you celebrate your dad. 

Store Opening

Urban Vintage Revival is all about discovering and restoring beautiful antique pieces. Right now here are some of my favorite furniture pieces in store. 

Antique White Dresser with stained top 
This dresser was sanded, primed, and sprayed with an antique white water based paint. It was then sealed with a polyacrylic topcoat. The top of the dresser was stained, sealed with poly urethane, and topped with a finishing paste. The dresser measures approximately 70 3/4x 31 3/4x 19 1/4 inches.

Antique Cedar Chest with movable tray
This shabby chic cedar trunk includes a moveable tray. This beautiful piece was purchased from an individual in Mountain Brook and then refinished. It was sanded, primed, and sprayed with an antique white water based paint. It was then sealed with a polyacrylic topcoat. The top of the dresser was stained, sealed with poly urethane, and topped with a finishing paste. The trunk measures approximately 45x19x24 inches.

 


Antique Folding Card Table 
This Fort Massac Folding Furniture Folding table and chairs has been painted in light grey. Chairs are made with solid wood and have been recovered with an orange and white floral fabric. The center of table has been inlaid with chalkboard. Table is approximately 30x30x28.5 inches.

 

Wood Side Table
This side table has been sanded, primed, and sprayed with woodlawn blue water based paint. It was then sealed with a polyacrylic top coat.

Urban Vintage Revival Coming Soon!

I'm excited to announce that we will be opening a new antique booth at Urban Suburban in the Crestwood Shopping Center. Urban Vintage Revival will be opening on June 1st in the middle of the fourth row of the store. What can you expect to find at Urban Vintage Revival? One of the best things about buying vintage is the excitement of a unique find. Because many items are one of a kind, we won't really know what we will get in week to week, but we will have a selection of restored antique furniture, unique home decor, vintage purses, antique books, beautiful frames and more. I will also be selling awesome vintage style maps of Auburn University and the University of Alabama that my talented friend Lisa Mosow designed.  Also, if you are looking for a special piece for your home, let me know and I will keep an eye out for you and can restore it to fit your home.
